One thing that Carla and Joe had decided they wanted to do in Seoul, long before we ever left home, was to visit Lotte World [LINK], which is a massive theme park consisting of a large outdoor park called Magic Island [Image 45] and a huge indoor park called Adventure [Image 46]. It's also connected to a giant mall and hotel complex, and there is a subway station where we disembarked right in the mall. Joe watched the parade [Image 42], played the games [Image 43, Image 44], and rode the rides [Image 47, Image 49] for hours. Joe was occasionally overwhelmed by the grandeur of it all [Image 48], but ultimately, loads of fun was had by all.
